General
- All appointment scheduling for Studio 202 Esthetics is conducted through the booking portal, to ensure that adequate time and desired services are booked to suit your schedule. If you have any issues using the booking portal, please contact me directly via phone or email, provided below.
- All appointments are confirmed by Studio 202 Esthetics via email and/or text message 48hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time. Rescheduling or cancellation of your appointment with appropriate notice of at least 24hours is recommended to avoid late cancellation charges.
- Failure to cancel or reschedule your appointment with adequate notice of at least 24hrs will result in immediate charge of the card on file, for the amount owed for the price of the missed appointment.
- Studio 202 Esthetics does not offer refunds on services rendered. In the event of an issue with your service, a complimentary touch-up or removal may be offered, at the artist’s discretion. *Issues arising from undisclosed allergies, medications or medical conditions pertinent to service, lifestyle or failure to follow aftercare are the sole responsibility of the client and are not eligible for complimentary services.
- All appointment times are scheduled to allow full attention to be given to each client. Arriving late to your appointment will result in reduced time for your appointment. Arriving more than 15minutes late will require your appointment to be rescheduled.
- Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. As a solo esthetician in a home-based salon, my facility is not equipped with a waiting area. If I am currently with another client, I am unable to leave them to answer the door for early arrivals.
- Due to licensing and insurance requirements, Clients only, are allowed on the premises. The only exception to this policy is that of minor children over 12 years of age who are receiving services, accompanied by a parent or guardian. Minors under the age of 19 are not allowed on the premises without supervision.
- Please schedule alternative, off-site supervision of minor children during your appointment time and be aware that other family and friends will need to remain off-site.
- While there are pets on-site, no pets are allowed in the Studio area at any time. Please make arrangements for your furry friends off-site as they will not be allowed on the premises. *Registered Service Animals will be allowed on-site when accompanied by proper documentation.
- Bottled water is always available at Studio 202 Esthetics. If you would prefer to bring your choice of beverage in a closed container with you, you are welcome to do so. Please refrain from bringing lid-less containers.
- Food is never allowed on the studio floor.
- Studio 202 Esthetics is a Non-smoking environment.
Lashes
- Please arrive for your appointment free of eye makeup; including mascara, eyeliner or primers.
- Waterproof products should not be used in the eye area for at least 48hours before a lash appointment. Waterproof mascara should never be used in conjunction with Lash Extensions.
- You will not be able to get your new lashes wet for the first 2-4hours after application. It is always recommended to arrive freshly showered, if possible.
- Please refrain from consuming caffeine for at least 1 hour before your appointment time.
- Phones are not allowed on your person during your eyelash extension appointment. Please be aware that you will be asked to turn your phone to silent mode and store it during your appointment.
- Speaking moves the facial muscles and can cause the under-eye pads to shift during application. To ensure your eye and lash health, talking during your lash appointment should be kept to the minimum. Eating, drinking and gum chewing are prohibited during service.
- Music and podcasts are always available and can be adjusted for your tastes. If you prefer, all clients are invited to bring headphones if they have a preferred playlist or other recording that they would enjoy listening to instead.
- A patch test is advised to any client who has not been lashed within the past 6mo, before receiving eyelash extensions. Patch testing includes the use of all products that would be used during your regular application appointment, to ensure that you will have no adverse reaction to ingredients in the products used.
- Patch test appointments are Complimentary and should be booked a minimum of 48 hours before your first appointment at Studio 202 Esthetics. Even those who currently or have in the past have worn eyelash extensions should patch test, as all artists use differing products. Those refusing a patch test will be required to sign a waiver stating such.
Waxing
- Studio 202 offers both hard and soft waxes by Berodin. If you have a wax preference for your service, please include it in the notes section available during booking.
- Waxing clients should always arrive freshly showered and trimmed.
- Hairs less than 4mm in length, approximately the length of a grain of rice, may not pull cleanly. Please ensure you allow enough growth for wax to adhere to.
- Sunburned skin or wounded skin should not be waxed.
- Please do not exfoliate at least 12hours before your waxing appointment or 24 hour after your waxing appointment.
- Clients currently using prescription Accutane or Retin-A, either orally or topically, should not be waxed. Please wait for at least 6 months from the date you stop your medication before booking waxing services.
- Please refrain from scheduling waxing services less than 24 hours before expected sun exposure, swimming or high impact activities. Freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive and subject to irritation.
- SPF should always be worn on exposed skin after waxing.
- Studio 202 Esthetics will not be held responsible for adverse reactions resulting from the failure to disclose medical conditions, medication use or failure to follow proper pre and post care recommendations.
Brides and Events
- Complimentary consultations and advanced booking for special events is recommended.
- All brides-to-be and those planning other special events who are considering eyelash extensions for their big day are requested to schedule a consultation appointment at least 3weeks in advance of their event to determine styling and length choices.
- It is recommended to receive your first full-set of lash extensions a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of your wedding or event, followed by a fill appointment no less than 3 days before the big day. This ensures you have the time to confirm you love the chosen style and allow for changes, if desired.
- If you are new to lash extensions or waxing, please schedule your first lash extension appointment well in advance of your special day. You will want that extra time to adjust to wear and maintenance before your event.
- Waxing appointments before special events and holidays should be scheduled at least 2 days in advance. Freshly exfoliated skin should not be exposed to excessive sun, swimming, sweating or scented body products for the first 24-48hrs.
